MISSION

To provide Cultural Enrichment, Educational Inspiration, and Community Recognition through choral arts..

VISION

To perform inspirational and innovative concert programs at the highest artistic level.

To enrich and expand the cultural musical experience of our audience.

To create an environment where the passion and spirit of choral music can thrive.

Founded in 1996 as The New Midwest Chorale, Chorale Midwest draws singers from Cedar Rapids and the surrounding communities. In addition to regular Spring and Christmas concerts, Chorale Midwest is available for community group performances. Though primarily performing classical literature, groups have been available for occasions as diverse as Freedom Festival to a Kenny Rogers concert and an appearance in Russia with the State Symphony Orchestra of St. Petersburg. In the spring of 2001 and 2002, Chorale Midwest collaborated with Coe College to provide a Choralfest and enjoyed the opportunity to bring together high school choirs and community choruses from around Iowa.

Chorale Midwest was proud to welcome Dr. Brad Barrett as artistic director and conductor in September 2003.
