Chorale members and children hit the road to Cornell College for a repeat performance. A Johnson student later wrote, "Singing with the New Midwest Chorale made me feel grown up, special and important. The chorale singers are very good, and I'd say we were good, too. Together we sounded professional. Everybody seemed to enjoy us, and they were impressed, I think."

Concert performed at Theatre Cedar Rapids included works by John Rutter, Randall Thompson and composer-in-residence, Robert Lindsey Nassif. Fortunately the tornado that sent musicians to the basement for an hour during dress rehearsal did not make a repeat appearance on concert night.
