The Chorale Midwest is a premier volunteer chorus comprised of eighty auditioned singers from a variety of educational and musical backgrounds. We take pride in performing challenging and diverse choral works from multiple musical genres. The organization was founded in 1996 by a group of passionate singers who wanted to master and perform choral works, and also create a welcoming community of musicians in the Cedar Rapids area. The Chorale has worked under the artistic direction of Dr. Bradley T. Barrett since 2003. In recent years, the Chorale has added three smaller performance groups: The Chamber Singers, the Pro Musical Women’s Ensemble and the Vocal Jazz Ensemble.
